SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Like your alternative Tony .....could generate a spate of Jackson Pollock - type landscapes :))

Opening times for Altamont at the moment are 9am to 5pm, I'm waiting for word back on facilities available, but judging by the site it looks as though there's no coffee shop, so the Forge is good idea as a meeting point. I'll post up details later , when I have some confirmation......

Would The Forge be a good spot to hook up for Altamont? Its on the main road at the turn-off for Altamont. I'm not sure if there's tea/coffee on site, although there are outdoor tables.

We also have an open invitation to Kilgraney.

....Alternatively, how about THIS?  - I think that's Kev Freeney in the jumpsuit.

....so it's between JFK and Altamount Gardens. Now I forgot that a few of our SEPA members are going to try and hook up with Plein Eire South West, next Sunday for their paintout at Ballymaloe House , coffee shop. Weather is to be much the same, so I suggest that our next SEPA  group paint out be Sunday 16th at Altamount House and Gardens,as we haven't been there before..

Next Sunday 9th of October...has anyone any preferences for a location? Maybe we can capture the last of Autumn , and head for J.F.K Park, or Innistigue + Woodstock? Waterford City, Aughrim , Clara Lara, Carnew were also mentioned... Anyone with other locations to suggest??

The location with the most votes wins, and we'll post the details on Wednesday...please help us decide :)

There are still eager beavers for a paint out next Sunday, so all suggestions gratefully received...please let me know if you've a preference.... We'll make a decision  by Weds. I'm thinking not too far away for this week ...Thanks

Courtown, Ferns, Leighlin Bridge,Cahore, Aughrim, Clara Lara, and Carnew have all been suggested for Sunday, or a later date. i think as people don't seem to mind, we'll stick with Courttown. I know the harbor area is quiet nice, there's a chipper etc.  If anyone knows anything about the surrounding area, please let us know...

There's a chance of rain in late afternoon, so i guess the sooner we get started on Sunday,  the better!
