Jean English commented on Tony Robinson's photoA beautiful day hosted by Michael McGuire who has been telling us about how great this place is for ages. Why didn't we listen? He's dead right, especially on a striking spring day like today. It was peaceful and only a few souls about, mostly walking the dog along the cliff paths and along the shore. 5 minute trip into the village of Fethard-on-Sea for coffee and a roll at lunchtime and we decided to ignore the harbour there and return to the cliffs in the afternoon.

On Friday's Culture Night, (23rd September) among several events taking place in Wexford, Plein Eire's Kevin Freeney, Paul Maloney and Tony Robinson took part in a 'live' portrait painting session from 5.30 until 7.15pm in Spectrum Art Shop while onlookers could walk through, chat or pop back to see the progress.

David Diaz said… Tony - just checking back to see if you got my email about staying in Wexford. I already applied and was looking for an end date so I could see about adding on a couple more days at the end--or beginning. Hope all is well. I'll be seeing your Mayor and a few others in Annapolis next week.
Mary Florence Lee said… I will try not to totally disappear! I like your painting style - very fresh and impressionistic. It's amazing to me that you all paint in winter when it is so cold. This talk of gloves with the finger tips cut off...and I think twice before going out to paint in "sub-sixty" weather.
Dagmara Zaręba said… Hello Tony, thank you for your comment, I really enjoyed being outdoors, it was my first time so didnt really know what to expect, but it was great experience. And people were coming up and peeking from behind. It was very windy day, rain but only for a five minutes but stayed cloudy and grey. Definitely going to do it again, ill try to get out to the hill of Connemara this weekend.

Thanks Tony.....not good to leave it too late. Pressure! Would never have gone into that soggy garden only for the Challenge. Am grateful for that....even those of us who are painting for a long time -we need a push.So out you go...............!
Jeni Rabjohns said… Hi Tony, thanks for the warm welcome. It's pretty chilly here too as I live at a height of 1,500m. It was -5º last night and max 5º today and snow above the village. But it all looks very pretty with the sun shining.
