Kilmore Quay has a special place in SEPA's heart. It has featured as one of Art In The Open's Festival locations, over a number of years. Nestled within the Village, it probably has the largest gathering of preserved thatched cottages, in Ireland.
The Harbor's Pier, and more recently established Marina, always provides interest and colour. The Beaches of Ballyhealy and Seaview are also within a stones throw away.

SEPA (South East Plein Air) - Paintout 26/2/12
Michael McGuire, Anne Cahill, and Marie - Christine arriving this morning
Today, our weather seemed unusually mild for February (see climate link). It remained overcast throughout the day, which didn't dampen spirits, as most members remained under the shelter of the Pier. The local working trawlers stayed in position all day, to the relief of Michael Mc Guire, who had experienced his subject matter floating away once before!!
Marie-Christine, Michael McG, Neil O Keefe, Mary O Dowd, Laura And Denise, Breda, Barry and Margaret and myself, made a nice turnout of about ten ...great for this time of year. Thanks to all .
