"Thanks Sally, Kevin ,Norah, that cliff has been on my mind to paint for a long time now. I liked the sketch I did in pencil underneath, and the sunburst gave me the colours , they were gone in a flash."

"Beautiful use of watercolour Kyrle - thoughtfully and masterfully painted. I think David Curtis said on one of his dvds " enough said" when you think you might just add some more paint . Anyone feel like going out this sat ? "

"Kyrle I love this! It is a wonderful painting, so light and clean luminous washes, brilliant. Agree with Sally re the rendering of the greenery on the top. Colours are beautiful.  Was this done with your Schminke's?"

"Fabulous colours Kyrle. And very delicate rendering of the bushes/trees on the cliff top. "

Hi and thank you very much for your kind welcome!

Actually my name is spelled 'Seumas'. It is Scottish Gaelic for James. (As is the Irish spelling of Seamus of course)

I presume you are Kyle and not Kyrle? ;)

Hi there thanks for the welcome! I won't be able to be in Ballydehob next week, although that sounds great. I'm in north Cork, bit of a distance from west Cork but will venture that way at some point.

Ah cheers Kyrle thank you. Yea thought the stool was lighter for all the walking. Disaster though as I lost my black 'signature' cap. Had it for years bah!

In the mood of late for sketching as haven't done any paintings for a while. Will have to knuckle down though as the opera festival is fast approaching. Maybe you might get down for a visit during it and we could view the exhibitions and have a pint or two of course. Festival runs from Oct.19th. to Nov.4th.inclusive.

Thanks Kyrle. I operate out of Canada for the most part but I maintain a studio in Cavan. Looking for plein air paint outs in the area, particularly during the winter months. Looks like this is the proper site. Plein Eire boyne valley looks interesting.

Wow Kyrle I never knew it was called Sorrento, what a coincidence. Trust you to use your tea to add colour to your painting ha ha. Glad you liked the other portraits must try another one or two soon.

No worries Kyrle, I'm sure we will meet up on one of the days at some point.

Hi Kyrle, delighted to see you are coming to AITO next weekend. Look forward to meeting with you and showing you our town.  Are you attending the 'Welcome Meeting' in Whites Hotel on Saturday 9pm by any chance? If so, will probably bump into you there.

What dates in mid August will you be in Ballydehob Kyrle?   I may be available for a paint out day dependent.
