SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

In the absence of any other suggestions, I may head down to Tagoat for the Steam Rally on Sunday if it isn't too packed. Perhaps to paint a traction engine. I hear insurance costs for the owners of these leviathans are making these rallies more and more difficult to put on these days. Thoughts, please.

Weather forecast seems ok, especially for the morning. Be there by 10.30 and don't miss your complimentary Sunday morning eye-opener at Karoo Farm Shop.

Hi everyone, so hard only having a couple of places, for Ned's scholarships, and sorry to disappoint anyone. We have the scholarships filled now. Thanks, for your interest, and thanks to Ned, for giving us the places..

Hi Everyone,

Ned has made two scholarship places available  for two of his workshops. His landscape scholarship has been taken, and we've one place left for his portrait workshop this Thursday 16th.

The workshop is a three day workshop 16-18th. The day begins at 9am, finishes at 4pm, and is based in my studio in Broadway.

This is open to beginners or advanced students. If you would have loved to have taken his Portrait workshop , but couldn't afford to this year, please message me here or on Facebook, or email me at : theswallowsneststudio@yahoo.ie

All the best, Karen

Forecast is looking good, Dick. And best time to paint the boats there is when the tide is out which sort of coincides with when we are there too - low tide around 9-30 am.
