SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

As you can see on our paintout schedule, June 19th has been earmaked for Waterford's "Copper Coast". Suggestions for where exactly our group could meet up, and favoured locations, would be gratefully appreciated...Karen

Hi Lize,  thanks for the suggestion-Glendaough would be beautiful..we'll see if there are any more takers? Car pooling might lighten the travel costs...... Anyone else interested?

Cahir is nice, Sandra. But perhaps a bit too far away for most of us this time of year. Definitely worth considering for spring/summer though. Edenvale may be a local possibility - the light's not too bad there this time of year and if it's cold and windy, at least we'll be sheltered. Johnstown Castle is always a possibility too this time of year, before everything goes mad green!
