SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my SEPA painting buddies.

I'd be up for it, Karen. Didn't get a chance to try out the "thermals" yet this winter!

Ok. If it is an 'Event', we can RSVP to find out who's up for it. Coffee shop still out of action since the fire there, though. Where's the best place to thaw out?

Anyone interested in probably our last paintout for 2012, this coming Sunday December 9th...... I was thinking that Tintern Abbey would be a good venue for this time of year ?

Compliments of A.I.O, a 25 seater mini bus is being made available to bring artists to the event...

It leaves from Wexford Station @ 7 pm.

Check with Neil O Keefe for the number of seats available...

I will bring a tray of lovely home baked minced pies for the opening of the "Christmas SEPA Art Exhibition"  and the brandy butter as well.   Count me in Karen and Billy also.
