Day seven of small works challenge---temp keeps climbing, but that is what makes it a challenge---sold one of the small works off the easel---one of the finer points of confronting the open air and public. Can't do that in a studio.

Monkstown 2pm Sunday 11th July

Hi all,



This Sunday we will meet at Knox Hall - which is up from the DART Station at Salthill on the Monkstown main road, beside Goggins Pub. In particular, we will be looking at an exhibition by the "30 Artists' Group", in which one of our own regular members Mary O'Carroll will be exhibiting her work.



There is plenty in the general Monkstown area to sketch, including two Churches, several cafe's and pubs and of course the view of the sea. Here's hoping for some fine… Read on...

Sunday 27th - Print Museum

Dublin Sketchers "Drawing a Crowd" Exhibition 11th-17th June!!

Well!! Opening night went down a storm and I hope that some of you here on Plein Eire enjoyed it! Was a really special night for us - we are delighted with the gallery and the space and that all went so well. The exhibition is running until next Thursday - open until 5.30pm each day!

Sunday 6th - Meeting at 2pm Dublin Docklands

Hi all,
This Sunday the Docklands will be the location of our meet up - lots to draw and paint including the buildings, the river and the beautiful bridges. There should be a great buzz about too - the Maritime Festival is taking place - so lots of boats around including the Jeannie Johnston.

Meeting at 2pm on the North side of the O'Casey bridge - meet back there again at 4pm for coffee.Everyone welcome to come along!

Botanic Gardens - 2pm Sunday 16th! All Welcome!!

Well the Botanic Gardens seems to be the popular choice for this weekend! I can't wait - haven't been in ages and it is just so nice and toasty in those glasshouses! Must remember to use pencil and not ruin my nice new shiny markers though!
