Neil Carrigan RIP

I am posting these few paintings of late Plein Eire artist Neil Carrigan. It is only right to remove Neil's name from our current membership but I am sure his many friends and fellow artists would appreciate being able to refer to his work from time to time, His work and courageous words are his memorial.

"Life is for living and should be joyful. I enjoy painting and the challenges it brings. My work focuses on positive emotions rather than the depressive and negative aspects of…

Art in the Open 2014: How was it for you?

Although a few visiting painters still remain to see other parts of our island, another AITO festival has receded into memory and archive.

If you have any recollections or comments please post them here. Good or bad, we'd love to hear them.

Hi there thanks for letting me join up to Plein Eire. Can I join paint outs in other areas if there's not much going on in the south west group? I'm in north Cork quite a distance from west Cork and Kerry, but will make it down there as well, hopefully.

Thanks Tony.  I consider it a HUGE  honour to have been invited, and I have some enormous boots to try and fill.  The other artists ard all amazing.  I know four of them from AITO.

Of course I'll post about my adventures.

Thank you! I am looking forward to see where this new connection leads me. I havae begun to paint for the new seaon here in northwest Denmark. If anyone ever comes this way, be sure to let me know and we can paint together - I have lived here for 14 years and there are many intriguing sites. I know it´s a long long way from Ireland ...but, not so far from Germany for example!
