We were talking about this kind of drawing today Sally, I added together a lot of Newsprint sheets and did a Self portrait with a block of scene Painters charcoal, can't even buy the stuff anymore sadly. great for drawing with whole body.

Many thanks for the demo yesterday, Kyrle.  I see what you mean about the dramatic marks.  But then you couldn't lose with a sitter which is  a Greek god look alike.   hope to put some of your ideas into practice this afternoon.

A very powerful piece Kyrle, it's a pity that charcoal isn't  available with so much on the market now,I wonder could you make it yourself or is it toxic?
