Watching a BBC programme on British landscape painting at the weekend I came across a new word. Well, new to me...."Stoffage".

Rather like 'en plein air' these things sound much grander in French, don't they?

What a change in weather a day brings! From yesterday's highs of about 23 degrees, our day today started out very chilly indeed!! Poor Geraldine had made the trip from Co. Wicklow yesterday in great weather, to be confronted this morning with a blast of c-c-c-cold air!

Our day out painting today (sunday 29th)  was an experance,our goal was to paint Dunluce castle on the north coast, and for a change the weather forcast was correct,  wet in the morning turning bright and breezy later. On the way we visited the White rocks area which is within site of Dunluce. The wind was quite strong blowing sand about, so we headed on to our target. The…
