Thanks to Kevin Lewis for pointing us towards Kells today, and directing us to some great venues. Kells was a gem, which I'm ashamed to say, I had never been to. The Priory was a huge mass of ancient ruins, in a wonderful setting. We had the choice to paint river/ mill/ Priory or surrounding countryside for inspiration. I'm sure there were more areas to explore, which we didn't have time to cover today... so Kells is definitely "earmarked" for a return trip.
The weather forecast was for sunny spells and scattered showers. Thankfully, we received more of the sun, than the showers!!
Thanks to all who were able to attend today, making it so enjoyable, and one of our biggest attendances:
Sandra, Kevin,Mary, Tina, Phil, Margaret,Mark,Michael, Lize, Karina, Geraldine,Terry, Shiela, Anne,Tony, Sue and Jenn .
Eighteen in all!!
Here's a link to some photos of the day...
