Boyne Valley Slane meet up at Outside Slane
December 9, 2023 from 11am to 4pm
Sally has arranged for us to have use of the parochial hall at Monknewton for a small fee. There are locations outdoors too or maybe bring along a small plein air and work on upsizing it lots of possibilities. Meet at 11am, bring your lunch etc. From Slane take the road to Drogheda, a few miles out there is a low cottage style pub on your right take the small road opposite and the hall is beside the church. Anyone with better directions post them on comments.See More

Plein Eire Boyne Valley at the RHA Dublin
Sally, Michelle, Bernadette, Anna, Frank, Noel and Brian at the RHA today with Franks sculpture (Noel and Brian, sorry you missed the photo). A photo or words do not do Frank's sculpture justice so it is well worth a visit. The whole exhibition is wonderful this year. Kate Began's wonderful Monaghan landscape in oils stands out in the gallery too, wonderful to see in life. I am looking forward to a 2nd visit. I didnt get photos of the wonderful detail so if anyone wants to add in photos here…

Thank you all for your company today - Sally, Sean, Robery, Anna, Michael and David. Thank you David for all your great tips with watercolours. It was great to watch the lifeboat being brought up the beach with that wonderful light in the distant skies, A few photos attached, Very happy with my new Leder Easel, if only it would do the painting too !…

Hi Norah. speaking of Second Sleep, I heard an interesting interview between Tubridy and Robert Harris the author who has just written a novel called just that. it has an interesting twist, its out on kindle and I just got it this minute. Its dystopian and I'm saying no more.
