That's good to hear. We've an outstanding line-up of workshop artists and Valerie Craig is one of my favourites. I studied with her in Lisdoonvarna, too. She couldn't be more helpful.

Yes Tony, I did 2 workshops with Valerie down in the Burren over the years - great tutor and also great company.  One thing that I really remember from this painting was the shadows, mine were too cool and after Valerie suggested warming them up the whole painting came together.  Lately I am going back to basics with drawing skills but a lot of the advice Valerie gave is sunk in - it takes a while to put it all together.  I see you have her back this year at AITO, looking forward to a few workshops. I spent many a day in Clare when Paddy was surfing and did lots of sketching as I love those walls and the wildflowers in spring.
