This scene is fresh, lively and breathtaking. Jealous. You have a fabulous command of greens. The light shines from this painting. Love it!
Ah Sally that's a joy to look at, feels like it is from another era
Thank you all for your comments. Kevin, I'm not too good on the cattle breeds either. But I do know that each beast should have a few legs and that guy in the middle doesn't seem to have enough.
Caathal, that is a magnificent photograph of Ciaran. Did you do it yourself? This is the one I have been looking for - not quite as artistic as yours. It was taken on a paintout here in March 2015.!
Ah Sally, you've done it again girl. Love your greens, you have a great knack for mastering this tricky colour. I really like that dappled sunlight on the bank to the right, and I agree with Cathal regarding the reflections. The cattle/ cows, excuse my lack of bovine knowledge, are beautifully rendered. Are they Limoges or Charolais? Bet they're something else altogether. God, you're a whizz at these type of subjects.
I agree with Cathal here Sally, its a beautiful rendition of a pastoral scene and that water and cattle in the foreground immediately put me in mind of Constable. another great days painting, I'm mad jealous!!
