Sean, i was working on the composition of a Howth painting when this presented itself. I couldn't resist. It's Austin in for coffee. First lamb cheque of the season arrived in post. Don't tell anyone but he was pleased with figures!! Oil on canvas 30” x 20”. Howth next.
Painted most of it outdoors in sun yesterday but indoors today.

Sally I'm glad you abandoned the Howth painting for this one, its grabbing the moment of inspiration and then making it work. That's hard to do as I know too well as I've abandoned the Honesty one I'd started. And I hope you spent some of that cheque on paints it's a gem
Thanks for that Sean. Hope you're going to join Noel’s Zoom session tomorrow.
Great stuff, Sally. Perceived and rendered with your usual perspicacity and a cool harmonious
co-ordination.
Wonderful light, agree with Kevin.
Kyrle and Kevin. What can i say- somehow i think Vermeer’s lady was engrossed in something a bit more romantic than weights and averages and grading. But thank you both for commenting.
Sally this is a lovely painting!, Great composition, It has a Picasso feel to it in my humble view. A definite keeper!
