Welcome Deb!
Lori--just been following along with the comments--see you there in july
I hope to make the trip to Ireland for the festival. If not this year it will be next year.
I would like to say "Hello" to the group and introduce myself. I'm from east Tennessee and live near the Smokies. My husband and I hope to attend the festival in Ireland this summer. I appreciate all the advise in Lori's post, since we have never been to Ireland. I am so excited about the trip and hope to meet a lot of new friends. Thanks, Sherry
That is a great idea, Lori. I will keep that in mind. Not sure if I will get there this year or not. I would like to. Have to see what things look like a little closer to the summer. I would especially love to come back to see familar faces, and meet up with all the wonderful people attending AITO. Lynda, you will have a wonderful time!
Enjoy!
Seriously, I wait until I get to Dublin and get euro from an ATM in the airport. Check into a Capital One account... it isn't a charge card, it is a bank account. You put money it in here in the U.S., and when you take out euro there is no transaction fee! Saves a ton. Then I take the Wexford Bus from the Dublin airport to where it stops in Wexford. This is not just any bus... it even has wifi. Follow the signs at the airport or ask any nearby Dub how to get there. I believe it is about 20 euro one-way. I don't know exactly where you are staying, but I have found it a pleasant walk to where I stay.
Be prepared for rain and layer clothing. Bring gloves, all-weather shoes, and your sense of humor. It's awesome!
