SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

I don't know how the rest of you are feeling...but my brushes look like my brain feels...fried :)

Anyone mind us postponing Ballyhack until the following Sunday August 21st??

Comment by Tony Robinson on July 26, 2012 at 23:43: A local press launch for Art in the Open 2012 will be held in White's Hotel on Sunday 29th between 8 and 9pm and will be addressed by mayor of Wexford, Cllr. Jim Allen. This brief event will be a first opportunity to meet and extend a warm welcome to some of the artists attending this year's festival, including several visitors from overseas.

To any SEPA members living close by, why not come along to say, 'hello'?I'm sure that would be appreciated by the visiting artists.
