Hi John, I will be in Ireland from July 25 to September 16. From the AITO I will be exploring Ireland to paint with other groups. Hoping to meet up with your group.

Yes, can be there for 10am.  But best to text when you arrive as I live only 2 mins away.  The car park is just opposite the church so 30 mins will be more than enough time to see the windows. Then I can show the way to Ardgillan about 10 mins by car from there.  See you Saturday morning. Alsion

Seasons Greetings John.  I am involved in voluntary work at the hospital under the Arts & Health programme.  There was an Open Day advertised resulting in registration, selection and vetting processes.  Perhaps keep an eye on the hospital website for further information.  Hope this helps.

In haste!

Hi John,

If you think Dublin Plein Eire would like to join forces with Boyne Valley in Balbriggan next Saturday you are all more than welcome.  The more the merrier, so here is hoping for clear skies.

PS. I reckon the sans serif bold condensed you were speaking of is Gerry Hegarty's page style selection? Could I suggest you roll this week's postponed Dub Plein Eire paint-out to join with the Boyne Valley group at Balbriggan next weekend instead if its not too far?

Hi John.

Thanks for the comments on the site which I'll look into. You should be able to edit the details of the Dublin Group as you are the initiator. However, I have made the changes you asked about and if you want to change the wording or whatever don't hesitate to get in touch.

The Discussion Forum on Dub PE is set to just cycle the latest 5 postings (headings only) and if there are out of date ones in view, its just because it is an unused facility. It can be discontinued if you prefer, or set to show only Group Admin discussions. The amount of text shown and the number of postings made visible can be varied. I guess it is generally for more pressing matters than the general 'Comment Wall'.

Anyway, I deleted the out-of-date exhibition notice and have left the facility there for now if you and members want to use it. Unfortunately, as site Admin. I don't see quite what you see on-screen, but I think you should have editorial control over the Dub PE area if you look for the 'edit' function. But as I say, if not, just ask and its easily fixed.

Hi John

Looks like the rain is down for the day.  Never thought of the weather issue!  i will certainly go down to Blackrock and liaise with Padraic from Ouzos and let folk know that we should prob postphone.  Lets have a coffee and rain check in Ouzos with any potential Artists. Many thanks for you thoughts.  Gerard Hegarty

That would be great to meet Tom, John.  It is very likely that some of us will be going out that weekend.  However, cant say where yet until we get our heads together next Saturday.

Thanks for all that info re using the site. I am on a sharp learning curve to-day.  I don't think you need worry about the 'first' ;'second' Saturday thing.  I'm sure we will meet literally on the second Sat even if we have to wait five weeks until the next. Also, most of us haven't been tested for winter weather and we may not rise to the challenge.

Hi John

Yes I did hear - so sorry to hear it.  Painted in Dun Laoghaire this morning and the weather was lovely.  Not so great this afternoon though.

Unfortunately, the 12th was very good timing for me as I am only here for another week or so.  Would have enjoyed meeting you all.

Hi John
So......I had a message this morning that the paint out tomorrow has been cancelled.  Sorry to hear it.  Was looking forward to meeting some fellow plein air painters while I'm here.

I'm at #14 Clarinda Park West.

I've borrowed an ancient cell that I hope works:  085 1024608

What time suits you? I'll wait for you outside as the buzzer isn't working.

I'm told that Dun Laoghaire is sort of on the way - I hope it is not too inconvenient.

If it isn't too far out of your way, I would really appreciate a lift.  I don't know my way around at all.

Hope the weather is more seasonal by the 12th!

Hi John

Very kind of you to suggest it.  Yes, I'd love a lift if you are anywhere near here. I am staying with my daughter on Clarinda Park West in Dun Laoghaire.  If not, I'm sure I'll find someone from here who is planning on going.

Many thanks and hope to see you on the 12th,

Deborah
