We are looking for 10 volunteers to help out at the Festival for a minimum of two days. You will have to find your own accommodation but in return you will get:
- Bus travel to each venue
- Lunch each day on your volunteer days
- Sit in on workshop of your choice on your volunteer days
- Barbeque at T. Morris
- Festival dinner at Riverbank House Hotel

Forecast for to-day warned all week that today would be very cold with heavy rain all day. Nevertheless five B V members showed up in Virginia to paint bluebells! We spent two hours over breakfast/coffee in the vain hope that rain might ease off. It didn't really. But we set out anyway. Some lovely paintings were produced, also a few very wet in wet ones. Spring is well on the way here with a number of warmer days and vigorous growth in the countryside.
This little piece was painted plein air, direct from nature just outside a small hamlet called Pioussay in the south west of France.

Well, not a paintout exactly, although most of us did bring materials. But the weather was dreadful with heavy rain. However, we were in the right place because part of the plan was to visit the 137th Annual Exhibition of The Dublin Painting and Sketching Club and to start the day with the Portrait Painting Demonstration by Jim Doolan.

Brrrr Jane and I braved it down at Bally trent Beach today!!! Boy was it cold!! I got myself into a lovely little spot just at the entrance to the beach. The dune had built up over the course of the winter and there was quite a bit of shelter there, and a lovely little run off of water from the land, however by the time I was finished my feet were ice!!
Still it was lovely to get out and slap on some paint!!…
