Art in the Open 2015 at Wexford County

July 26, 2015 at 8pm to August 3, 2015 at 7pm
Six spectacular Paint-Outs are the core of Art in the Open 2015, featuring some of the most stunning scenery, charming villages and historic towns South-East Ireland has to offer. The list includes New Ross, Wells House and Gardens, Kilmore Quay, Hook Head, The Irish National Heritage Park and, of course, Wexford Town. In addition, there are expert workshops and a host of fringe events at Ireland's 8th annual international plein air festival.See More

Welcome to Plein Eire Painting Jean,  it is a lovely challenge every week, and makes me very selective about what I paint.

Hi Jean,

 Welcome to Plein Eire.

In response to your message on 'Introduce Yourself', your paintings are highly finished - even the pencil studies - so it is always going to be a problem for painters who demand that. On the other hand, I've heard people say painting outdoors forces them to be more selective when faced with Mother nature, a trait which can be usefully employed back in the studio.

You might like to join up with Plein Eire Dublin, here.
