Anyone interested in joining me tomorrow to paint at the canal at Oldridge? The canal is beautiful this time of year. We could meet in the Village Inn in Slane at 11. To get to SLANE from Dublin I recommend you go through Finglas (N2). At the crossroads in Slane turn left and its the first pub on the left. After coffee we can head to Oldbridge. Take the Drogheda Road from Slane (N51) and after about 5 miles you will see signs for Oldbridge and King Williams Glen. There’s a little car park…See More

There are toilets nearby but no coffee shop so bring whatever refreshments you think you will need and let’s paint. We can retire to a hostelry of choice later if wished. Plein Eire Boyne Valley at the RHA Dublin
Sally, Michelle, Bernadette, Anna, Frank, Noel and Brian at the RHA today with Franks sculpture (Noel and Brian, sorry you missed the photo). A photo or words do not do Frank's sculpture justice so it is well worth a visit. The whole exhibition is wonderful this year. Kate Began's wonderful Monaghan landscape in oils stands out in the gallery too, wonderful to see in life. I am looking forward to a 2nd visit. I didnt get photos of the wonderful detail so if anyone wants to add in photos here…

Hi Norah. speaking of Second Sleep, I heard an interesting interview between Tubridy and Robert Harris the author who has just written a novel called just that. it has an interesting twist, its out on kindle and I just got it this minute. Its dystopian and I'm saying no more.
