Hi all, just want to say a big THANK YOU to those who organised the exhibition in Oldbridge House. Sally, Dee and Alison and anybody else whom I'm not aware of! It was great to see us out there and hopefully will bring more members for lovely paintouts! Best wishes for our futures! Rose

The enthusiasm of PEBV painters knows no bounds.  Exhibition 4.30 Thursday, paintout  Saturday (details below) and ANOTHER paintout on Bank Holiday Monday (details from Dee elsewhere).

Saturday 5th May.  We had planned to meet in Moran’s pub, Mornington. BUT it turns out that Morans do not open until 12 midday.  So may I suggest we each bring our own beverage and food parcel and we can have our ‘coffee’ al fresco.  Lets meet as planned in Mornington ‘village’ at 11 am, have our picnic and then off to paint.  Mornington is on the estuary of the Boyne and a couple of miles from the beach with its dunes.  There are some pretty buildings in Mornington and an old graveyard.

To get there coming from the south on N.1 I suggest you take the estuary road from Drogheda i.e.

when you meet the first major junction (traffic lights) in Drogheda turn right following the sign to 'Docks'.

Immediately turn right again - DO NOT cross the bridge Keep south of the Boyne.

Continue on under the Viaduct and past FloGas on your left .  After a few miles you will come to a Y junction. Take the right fork, signposted to Star of the Sea Church and to Laytown.

Morans is about the fifth building on the left - cunningly concealed behind some trees.  There is parking behind the pub.  See you there.

YOU ARE BRAVE SOULS.   I am caught up in indoor bowls matches at present. 3 this week. I feel I have missed out a lot.   Caroline, what a thing to happen to you.  It is so easy.

Very impressive and professional the DVD. I'm afraid im out of action for the immediate future. Had a very bad fall at home on Sat (fell down stairs and hit radiator v hard), and have dislocated me thumb and broken my elbow. other injuries but these are minor.   Still keep me posted on dev/events, and will be bacl asap. Going to miss my painting -hoping to be back soon.
