Gaeltacht thair tir Chona - The Old Garda Station (Doochary)

The paintout on Saturday, 8 August 2026 is The old Garda station, Doochary. Nicola and her family kindly invited us and will show us the building at 11am and we have access to facilities with a cuppa at 1pm. Doochary has a picturesque Main street with house and shop fronts, bridge and river. Have a look at https://duchoraidh.com/map/ if you are curious! Parking is available on the street yet it might be best to park just off the main street at the back of the pub to preserve the scene for painting.

We will be meeting at 10am in Sweeney’s hotel on the Main Street in Dungloe and make our way from there, no later than 10.45am.

The weather will do what it will so come prepared for all weathers to welcome the gift we will get on the day Bring what you need to stay comfy from head to toe. Sun hats and rain gear is never amiss and let’s not forget a snack or light lunch, hot drink, chair and - your art materials or whatever you want to spend your time with. All are welcome to come along in body - and mind.💟
