Gaeltacht thair tir Chona - Lough Barra

🖌️🎨🖼️ The paintout on Saturday, 2 August 2025 is at the picnic area at Lough Barra. There is much beauty to choose from: the lough, adjacent bog, hills at the back of Glenveagh as well as derelict houses, abandoned caravans, mature trees, wild roaming sheep, river beds with overgrowing trees, waterfalls along the river towards Doochary.

We will be meeting at 10am in The Waterfront hotel (F94 W974) on Mill Road in Dungloe and make our way from there. 

It is August yet despite nice temperatures, it is likely that there will be at least a little spit of rain. So as per usual, bring all you need to be comfy for the day so you can create and enjoy yourself: layers, raingear, umbrella, hat, sunscreen, chair, and let’s not forget drinks and a snack or light lunch as there will be nothing to purchase. Oh, and of course your art materials or whatever you want to spend your time with. All are welcome to come along in body - and mind. 💟
