Gaeltacht thair tir Chona - CARRICKART

The paint out this Saturday, 18 January 2025, is at Carrickart, the picturesque village on the R245 towards Rosapenna or Fanad depending on the direction you come from. Carrickart offers a variety of motives from churches, hotels, shops and buildings that feel like they belong to a different time, to name just a few. We will be meeting at 10am in The Galley (F92 W016) on Main Street in Downings on the R248 and make our way from there. 

We are in winter and expect low temperatures, possibly wet and windy too. Wrap yourself up nicely, bring what you need to stay warm and comfy for the duration of the paintout or as long as you are staying. Rain gear is probably a good idea and let’s not forget a snack or light lunch, hot drink, chair and - your art materials or whatever you want to spend your time with. And it is always good to have a sketch pad with you, in case the weather is too wild and we are opting for a bit of sketching in the hotel. All are welcome to come along in body - and mind.💟
