The cost will be  € 45 euro/ day, full board. The nearest airport is Berlin

We had a great experience during this Event 2014. This is a wonderful opportunity to paint in the old, East part of Germany, and immerse yourself in paint :) . Places are still available, if you would like to join us let us know.

We have now 5 liter white spirit for all painters who will arrive by airplane.

Now I wanted to ask you, if 3 liter balsam turpentine oil would be enough? This is a brand I'm using for a long time.

That's great, Nikolai. Five litres of white spirit is probably enough, because most of us have specialist containers, which allow the paint sediment to settle overnight (so we can use the same stuff for a couple of days). Three litres of turpentine sounds like a lot - I just get through about a half litre of it in a full year!

Is this for the Oak Bar, Nikolai?

They would probably prefer Guinness but I'm sure they'd drink this in a pinch...

Is this for the Oak Bar

Imagine a month later, some headings in irish newspapers:

»Irish painters had to drink turpentine in Germany!«

They would probably prefer Guinness

Damn, we totally forgot to discuss the beer question. If you guys really need Guinness, we have to check it out, if in this kind of beer is available in north Brandenburg. The usual beer here is the lager brew (the yellow one, like in Prag).

im happy to sample that :))

When most of us Irish travel, we tend to avoid Guinness, Nikolai! And I can't remember ever having a bad beer in Germany!

Hello, I have a painting buddy in Berlin and would like to attend providing I can afford it and my schedule is open for those dates.  What are the dates and the costs?  Please reply to my personal email lynne@tanks-a-lot.net because I probably won't get to visit this site often and I really want to plan for this.  Thanks so much.  You can see more of my work at www.lynnehaines.com and www.pleinairartists.ning.com.  I had the great pleasure of painting with Don and Suzie Maier in 2010 when they came and stayed with us for 2 weeks.  I'm sorry Don isn't travelling much anymore.
