Thank you Sally and Kyrle, it was that sort of day, bees and birds and one beautiful small blue butterfly that flitted in and out of the flowers. Of course I wanted to add them all in but thats for another day

Norah, I love this painting.You have handled the colours of the blossoms, the pinks, the highlights, the shadow areas so expertly. And your greens, from the darkest darks of the background coming forward to those deicate greens of the new leaves.  And your rich red colour of that brown branch in the centre sings.  Your spattering suggests pollen or falling petals or insects or just the richness of Spring.  Lovely

Those acrylics are super in your hands Norah, lovely brush work and subtle colour mixing, Real depth in the branches and leaves.
