Two paintings full of light Kyrle,it would have been so easy to overdo that rock face and then lose the feel of the painting
Thanks Sally, well spotted about the waiting outside Dunnes, in my defence I had the task of minding the Doggies as we can't lock the car when they are onboard (alarm gets set off).......and before you think of it ......no I'm not allowed to do the shopping instead of Emer....a matter of buying essential items such as spare batteries, new-style kitchen utensils like garlic crushers, knife sharpeners, the latest coffee grinders, irresistible essential pencils and erasers tipex and multipack superglue....etc, so I have to resort to sketching walls, tree branches, car roofs, gates, signs. In the old days I would just light up a fag in the certain knowledge that Emer would immediately exit the shop and catch me out.......alas I'm off the ciggies for 35 years so sketch sketch sketch.
Always very interesting to see a preliminary sketch Kyrle. I was looking at your ‘waiting ’ sketches last night and enjoyed them greatly. However, I note your “waiting outside Dunnes”. It’s a man’s world.
