Painting today in the wonderful grounds of Maynooth university - such beautiful delphiniums and iris's in the walled garden but I had decided I wanted to do some buildings - being in the middle of wonderful spires and architecture but having decided it all looked too hard I found this little hidden garden with bee hives ! Thanks Sally for the badly needed chocolate and Sean for taking the photos !

well done Norah............wish i could have been there.
lovely and interesting subject and composition
Title is brillant and very apt. I can hear the murmur of innumerable bees. Lovely painting, Norah.
Lovely balance of warm colours and greens and blues Norah.
I think I can hear the honey bees at work!!!!!
Beautiful painting.
Well done Norah, a lovely painting. The subject would have appealed to me too.
Simply beautiful no need to say anymore except for a big thank you for today.
Norah, this is a wonderful job. Lovely cool blues and warm yellows bringing us into the bee hives. Those bees should be very happy among the 'flowery grass'. Have a look at Renoir's A Path through the Long Grass.
This can take its place with the best of them.
Many thanks Norah for bringing us to Maynooth. Beautiful gardens, full of possibilities not to mention the environs. And a big thank you for ferrying us around and for putting us on the right path home.
