Amazing 3D effect.
Beautiful Sally, can almost smell the heady scent of the Hawthorn blooms. Wonderful depth and colours to the layers of the painting.

Thanks Sally, we had a discussion recently about Winton v artists quality paints. I think the proper name for that herb is Sorrell but the garden centre one does not taste as good as its wild version found in our fields.
" It is no wonder we were never sick." Norah - its a wonder you all survived! I would love to be able to say I knew what I was doing with the colours Norah, I fiddled around a bit and probably used orange-yellow (Winton) in the white and hence the blue-purple complementary in the shadow.
