SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Thankfully the weather looks good for Sunday and I’m hoping there will still be some colour in the beautiful gardens at Marlfield. They’re expecting us for coffee on the terrace at 11

Coffee at Sugar & Spice at 11am, looks like great weather! Newtownbarry house and gardens might be an option too if anyone knows where to find out their opening times? See you there!

Comment by Sheila Mac Nally on May 31, 2023 at 7:46: Paintout Ballymore SCHOOLHOUSE 4/6/23 With the fab weather continuing I’m posting early again- this is a NEW venue Ballymore Schoolhouse & Gardens: Japanese inspired gardens set over 2 acres on the side of Carrig Rua, Ballymore in North Wexford. The Schoolhouse dates to 1830s. Y21 K8X7. They’re happy for us to come at 11 for coffees and make a donation to the Hope charity as the open days are fundraising for them.
