SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

However I am suffering severe plein-air withdrawal symptoms and need a group paint-out "fix" soon to re-establish something akin to sanity.

Comment by Karen Scannell on May 24, 2013 at 20:22: Fethard has been suggested for Sunday...there's a 10km run/walk on from Hook Lighthouse for MS, arriving in Fethard @ 2pm. There's plenty to paint there with Fethard Harbour, Village, Baginbun or Hook whichever suits ..Any takers ?

You can dress in the 16th century costume, check www.fernsvillage.ie for patterns if you wish to make a authentic Gaelic Tunic. Old curtain material would be great. Or you can purchase a costume, email: dpcodd@hotmail.com Their is a Medieval Fair on the Castle Green from 3-8.30. and lots more.
