SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.
Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)
The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy
As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.
In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:
Duncormick, Screen, Killinick, Lady's Island, Clohamon, Saltmills, Slade

Paint Annapolis - I hadn't seen the video.. great memories. I was lucky enough to be juried onto the event last year, which set the wheels in motion for a fantastic experience in the wonderful city of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County...made all the more special by our friends David and Ardis Diaz, and many other artists that I had known online, and finally met. Annapolis and surrounds is very beautiful, with a lot of effort placed on preserving the heritage of the county. Prepare for the heat , and alota fun :) .....
I managed to delete a lot of my photos from my trip so unfortunately I can't share them ..but here's a link to my blog :-
Dear SEPA member,
Here is an announcement of a fabulous opportunity to take part in a 5-day plein air event and show in the USA.
Annapolis in Maryland, is twinned with Wexford and for several years the city, with its fishing harbour and naval base has held its own plein air event, called 'Paint Annapolis'. It is a fun but prestigious event with some outstanding artists and substantial awards to be won. Last year there were 27 juried artists. Chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association which oversees 'Paint Annapolis', is artist David Diaz, who is a great friend and supporter of our own national event, 'Art in the Open'. In a spirit of mutual friendship, David has lobbied for a place at Paint Annapolis to be reserved for one artist resident in Co. Wexford.
The 'Paint Annapolis' 2015 applications go 'live' in a few days. It will be a juried event. Apply through the website in the knowledge that one County Wexford artist will be going! And it could be YOU!
