SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Tintern Abbey

May I suggest Tintern Abbey for the 12th of April. As it should be open by then. I may not be around for 29th March. I will post as an event later.

As discussed, John, post it as a SEPA event for the 15th March. Any probs, give me a call - I'm back at my PC now.

I sent out a group message to SEPA, Louise (you should have received an e-mail) looking for volunteers to organise a paint-out. I suggested that we get a schedule of six fortnightly paint-outs like we did last autumn. Neil O' Keeffe and John Moriarty have already posted events for 1st and 15th March.

Michael, my suggestion is for Kilmore Village, say 2 weeks after Niall's, on the 15th March.  I passed through and there seemed like a couple of nice scenes there.

Volunteer for what Michael? Sorry did I miss a post about something you need volunteers for? Just asking.

Thanks Neil. Let's hope some more SEPA members volunteer this time.

Thanks to everyone for a most enjoyable day. We must organise a programme of scheduled paint-outs. I'll post something about this tomorrow.
