SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Moville House,

Screen

I'm told it has a walled garden & courtyard.  We met the owner, Mary Spain, who told me about it, and said the group would be welcome, but I suppose someone would have to check & arrange  first.  I have her phone number.

Hi everyone...Tagoat community are having an open day at Yola Farm this Saturday afternoon the 25th June between 1pm and 4pm and have invited Myself and any interested artists that would be available to come along and paint out among the grounds during the open day. Yola Farm is now belong to the community and is run by local volunteers and teachers from the school. They have done great work here with the kids and have a youth club held every Saturday. THe grounds are full of old thatched home steads and wooded areas with a stream..plenty to paint. Access to Yola is through the housing estate Pugin Park...turn right after St. Mary's national school and drive straight ahead through Pugin Park and down the lane that leads to the Youth club. I'll be definitely there so hopefully some of you are free to join me...cheers! Jane :)

I'm going to head to Morriscastle beach in Kilmuckridge tomorrow to paint, v last minute I know but I think I'll have to miss yet another Sunday this weekend. There are toilets at the carpark and a cafe but I don't know if it'll be open so I'll be bringing a flask anyway. If anyone is tempted to join me I'll head left along the beach from the path.

Yes, Kilmokea is on 10th. Foulksmills is tomorrow. But I'm asking anyone intending to go to Kilmokea next week to let me know this weekend so I can give an estimate to Emma at Kilmokea.
