SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Kevin, I am interested. My wife would like to come too and hope that won't upset the good people of brittany. Can you let me know. David

It's not the usual kind of Paint out but all of us SEPA members did receive an invitation to Coueron on the weekend of 12-15 May. The Colours Of Brittany festival will be in the town on the Saturday. The good people of Coueron, Wexford's twin town, will put up and feed up to ten artists.
All we have to do is get there, that is, to the airport in Nantes. Anybody interested?

Try going to you personal section - email - and turn all notifications on..if you get too much traffic then turn a few items off.  I have it all turned to 'on' and am not  inundated.

FYI I get all the updates from the group, the email and comments here so there may be something in your email preferences not ticked?

Thanks for all your work Dick !

Hi Terrence, there's a little blip in the system when arranging paintouts. When someone posts an event, the system asks .. "send to all your friends" ? . It means that the invite has to be sent twice, to the persons friend list, and then the link posted in a message to the group. The easiest way is for anyone to arrange a paintout is to  "friend all members of South East Plein Air...or to do the double whammy on it  :)

Hi folks, For some reason I have had a lot of problems with the Plein Air website and have been unaware for some time of planned paint-outs.

Are paint-outs in the South East only notified to a select circulation lists now or has communication generally moved to to Face Book or some other new fangled system that is designed to confuse old fogies like me?

If there are select circulation lists  -- please add my name -- I promise to be well behaved.
