Dedicated to the memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, President of the United States from 1960 to 1963, the Arboretum is a plant collection of international standing. It covers 252 hectares (623 acres) on the southern slopes and summit of Slievecoiltia

Tearooms and facilities will be open on Sunday.Bring a packed lunch also just in case..

10.30 am Meet in the Parks Carpark for a chat.NB SEPA members have free entry to the park on this paintout.

11.00am Synchronize watches..and disperse for our first sketch/paint session

1.30pm Meet up for lunch in the Parks tearooms

2.30pm Back to our "artistic endevours"!! Slieve Coillte is just opposite the entrance to John F. K. if anyone wants a panaramic viewpoint in the afternoon..and it's not too windy! There's is a carpark at the summit..highly recommended to have a look!

5.30 ish- Time to pack up/meet up for a chat on the days experiences.
