Art in the Open 2020 at Wexford and South East Ireland

Europe's largest plein air festival returns with A Month of Sundays...Throughout August we are packing our tent and taking to the road, hosting 5 paint-outs over 4 weekends with awards. Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd we are in Wexford, followed by Sundays in Kilkenny, Dunmore East and Enniskerry. 5 days of painting on location in the beautiful surroundings to the north of Dublin. Tackling a different aspect of plein air painting each day, we will visit stunning sites with tonnes of inspiration for all.
We'll begin with a short study session each morning, a demonstration, discussion or presentation on themes such as how to select a subject, designing a painting, matching and harmonising colours, capturing atmosphere and creating focal areas. Then we'll head out to paint the wonderful boats, harbours, beaches and countryside.
With friendly support and guidance we will explore the possibilities of painting in the elements. This workshop is open to artists in all media with some experience of painting in their chosen medium.
Fee per person is 295 euros. Places may be secured with a 150 euro deposit.
Bookings are for the full 5 days from 10:00am to 5 :00pm
Please note that the fee includes the workshop only. No accommodation, meals or materials are included.
