Lovely painting.  A favourite spot of mine - even though I am Dublin based.  I knew instantly where it was!

Hope 2011" throws" you a good time--and you stay "fired up". Also  hope you didn't down too many pints and wake up glazed.  Have a great year

You had a great break in Kinsale, by the looks of it.
Perhaps 'break' is not the right word judging by the amount of work you got done. Are you sure you were wise to leave Patricia all that much free shopping-time? Guess that explains the 'early morning light's and the 'harbour at evening's, huh? Great stuff, Paul. Coool!

Paul--thanks for the comments--it's a nice little town to paint in

What's this I hear about your work? When David D said "Keep a window open" I don't think he meant literally.
Ah, well can't blame The General for this one I suppose.

Mostly when I do a still life---but I have done interiors, standing near a door or window to get light just catching edges or washing across the floor---I think it's all good, painting on site.

I usually defer to Michael M. or your good self on such matters of P.A. theology but as long as your trouser legs weren't tucked inside your socks at the time, I think its okay.
My manual suggests, helpfully, you could try rushing outside every couple of minutes to get a big gulp of air, just to be sure.

After college I went to Sweden on a Coras Trachtala Design Award - mass production. No jobs really in that so I drifted into teaching. Later I did an MA in History of Art and now just paint.
