CLONEGAL - The village of Cluain na nGall, or in English, “the Meadow of the Stranger” is set in a valley between the Blackstairs and Wicklow Mountains, straddling the meeting place of the rivers Slaney and Derry where the counties Carlow, Wicklow and Wexford meet....
Here's a couple of links, for some background info:

10. 30 - Meet in town central ( I believe the town is quite small, so I'm sure we'll find each other!!)
11.00 - Disperse to our favored painting locations
1.30pm - Meet at an agreed location for lunch
2.30 pm - Back to the easel, to either finish a piece or start another..
5.30pm - We should all be close enough to see how the day is panning..if there's loads to paint, the die-hards among us may want to keep painting..so we'll "go with the flow"......

Thanks to Kevin Lewis for the suggestion, Maria Levinge for all her help during the day, also
Moira McCaffery / Clonegal (Huntington) Castle who had granted us permission to paint within the Huntington Castle grounds
and of course Mark O Neill, who gave us access to his superb Gallery.
Where's Clonegal?? Have a look in Google Maps to "get your bearings"....

Thanks Karen, hopefully I will be able join you.
Following up Maria's suggestion, SEPA contacted artist Moira McCaffery or Clonegal (Huntington) Castle who has kindly offered permission for painters on this SEPA visit to paint within the Huntington Castle grounds on Sunday and perhaps may join in.
Well-known watercolourist John Hoar will be giving a 3-day residential course in the castle 17 -19 May 2011.
Moria McCaffery (Durdin-Robertson) is a member of Plein Eire. She lives in Huntingdon Castle, Clonegal. Entrance in the middle of Clonegal.
If you were to approach her she might let everyone in to paint in the Castle grounds. Her son Harry and daughter in law Clare are also artists
