If you missed the first visit to Bective don't miss this one. Saturday, 11^th August.  Bective is a beautiful spot with the Abbey and the River Boyne running below it. Mary Lavin’s first collection of short stories Tales from Bective Bridge (1942) was inspired here.

We meet at 11 am in Crocketts Pub nearby for coffee.

There are many ways to get there.  Here is one:-

Take M3 for Cavan/Navan.

Exit at junction 7 onto  R147 (Old Navan Road).

Continue to Tara na Rí pub crossroad and turn left onto L2203.

Continue past Bellinter etc. and Crocketts pub is at second crossroad. Car park opposite pub.
