Event Description

on Saturday, Sunday November 13, 14, 10am to 5pm, at Broadstone Studios, now relocated to 22 Harcourt Terrac, D2 (junction of Harcourt Terrace and Adelaide Road, D2, opposite Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital) (see map attached); the event is designed for those who want an extended time with the model in one pose, but artists who want to come for shorter times and/or do several studies are also welcome. The studio this time is a Victorian style drawing room and may lend itself to a period theme; artists should bring their own easels, but in extremis, may request one from the organiser. €90 for 2 days, €45 for one day, €25 for half-day. This is usually a walk-in class, so no booking necessary, but on-site parking arrangements require pre-registration for cars for the limited number of off-street spaces for the Satuday, on street parking is free on Sunday; joflynn@eicom.net.

RHA now do Marathons which last a week; next one is next week Mon-Fri, different models every day tho and its only towards the end of the week that one gets a day long pose; I heard they are not fully booked so they might accept part-booking. Another one follows in early Dec. - JOHN

Thanks for organising this event - I expect to get along to this event - though I attend Trinity & UAC life drawing workshops, I feel I could benefit from the extended time with the model in one pose. I might need to borrow an easel though if possible.
