2013 schedule of paintouts

A message from John Dinan to all members of Plein Eire West on Plein Eire!

Hi All Members here is the 2013 schedule of paintout locations:

Hope you can get to at least some of them this year - they're really a great way to get your painting going again, in a social setting.  Please put the dates into your diary or smartphone NOW so you don't forget - give yourself a 'one-day-before' reminder so you've no excuse!  Hope to see you soon.

Leader        Month    Date           Location                      Meet at
Helen          May   Sat 25th        Kinvara Pier                Kinvara Pier
John            Jun     Sat 22nd      Cong/Abbey/River      Public Carpark before village
Noelle         July    Sat 20th   Leenane Village/Estuary  Car park opp Craft shop
John           Aug    Sat 24th        Roundstone              Community Hall car park
Noelle        Sept   Sat 14th    Delphi, near Leenane       Delphi Centre

We meet at 10.45 each day, and at 4.30 for a coffee!
Noelle Angley, Helen Veale and myself are sharing the 'leading' this year - this means simply that one of us will definitely be at each of these paintouts. If you'd like to offer to share any of these 'leads' you'll be welcome - just say!
Any other comments/suggestions also welcome.

Plein Eire West is an informal group of painters who meet to paint outdoors on several dates each year.
It's purpose is simply to offer opportunities to paint outdoors in a variety of locations, without tuition, for artists who love to paint in the West of Ireland.
There is no tuition - just a location and time to meet for a day's painting in the company of like-minded artists.

Being very much a self-taught artist - and also being a bit of a rebel rather than a conformist - goes against me a bit in the confidence stakes when painting with a group. Everyone else seems so…Read on...

Hello All, I would have really liked to go but all the dates seem to clash with some event or trip to Dublin by my family and it was the same last summer...so, sorry I am unable to attend. Hope you all enjoy the day I am sure it will be stunning

Hi Noelle. I actually have a Saturday off this week and am going to try and be there .... but 1am!!! Bit dark about then isn't it? :-)  I hope it's okay but the only way I can be there is to bring my 88 year old Mum and her dog. They will sit happily in the car most of the time as long as I am nearby .... I'm assuming we're going to paint in and around the village so it should be easy for me to keep an eye on them. See you around the lunchtime 1 o'clock :-) Lynda
