Plein Air group in Dublin area. Paint-outs on 1st Saturday of the month (weather permitting) plus other events as members decide.

Membership is free and open to all abilities.

Plein Eire Dublin Paint-Outs

A 'Paint-Out' can be arranged by anyone. Even an impromptu session can be posted here if the weather is promising and you have an afternoon or a morning to spare. We try to meet regularly. Just decide on a time and a suitable venue and post a notice on the group page and 'Events'.

Time and location to be posted in advance both on "Plein Eire Dublin" and "Events" pages on this Plein Eire site.

RSVP on 'Events' for notice to be sent to you in the event of any change in plans or check this Plein Eire Dublin Group page on the morning of a paint-out .

Nominate a time and location with reasonable painting prospects.
Identify a local cafe or hostelry for artists to meet in before and after.
Indicate if there is parking available nearby, and if its free or metered.
Post the suggestion to 'Events'and copy and paste the link to the Comment Wall below on this page.

Members may also propose paint-outs at other times as suits them and ask for other members who may be available to join them.

Saturdays suit me too, but there is nothing to stop somebody else arranging a paint out for a Sunday or two...

I was glad to have been part of the paint out in the Botanical gardens ... thanks Valerie for organizing it. Since I was late arriving I didn't get to meet too many people... and didn't see so many after either in the cafe but the location and weather was great and the day cheered me up greatly. Also, managed to get a painting done . Hope there are others on a Saturday as Sunday doesn't suit me at present.

The weather was kind - not a cloud in the sky. It was a bit on the chilly side, but pretty good for January.

Good to see that the baton is being carried forth! I'll continue to keep an eye on development of PEDublin's program, and I am sure to get a chance to join in from time to time…I just have to concentrate on the "day-job" for a little while…but I look fwd to catching up with you all soon again….!
