Thank you to everyone for a really wonderful day - and especially Sally for organising it.   Great to see everyone and some lovely work produced.

Looks like Boyne Valley Plein Eirers are looking for a ploughed field?  I'm told by a reliable source that there is a lovely one near Clogherhead with a fringe of chalets and the sea below.  Also a stubble field beside it for those who want the rougher look.

Coffee venue is a small problem. Nearest one is An Grianan GatehouseTearooms, inside the gates of An Grianan ICA College, Termonfeckin.  We'll meet there at 11.

To get there from M1: exit at Exit 10 and follow signs towards Drogheda.

After three roundabouts watch for sign on left for Termonfeckin. Continue to Termonfeckin.

Before you go over the hump-back bridge at Termonfeckin turn right for Baltray/An Grianan. An Grinan  is about quarter of a mile on left.

Phone if you've any difficulties.

For 'afters' we could go to Seapoint Golf Club.

Looking forward to getting off to a (good) start in 2013.

I agree, Rathdrum in the summer would be lovely with the long evenings. Will scout around that area when frost gone, as its VERY HILLY! A good suggestion of Patricks - Lucan again, or Summerhill, it doesn't matter, somewhere near coffee shop is VERY IMPORTANT!!  I don't mind.  Also, looking on map, wicklow is a good distance for a lot of Boyne Valley artists, but would be lovely in summertime.

Wicklow sounds great but would need the evenings to be a bit longer for travelling ? Somewhere handy for sat ?

Hello Caroline and Norah, Rathdrum sounds very interesting Caroline. Maybe we should hold off and put it up for either mid next week or this Sat week to give everybody a chance to consider if they want to travel. Well done on getting out painting to you both.

Happy New Year! Have been thinking over the last few days, of places we might paint in.  Hard to come up with new places.  It will be nice to get back into it, I was painting today. I should be free during the week.  Im easy where we go, Summerhill, Skerries etc. All we need are a few nice old buildings, water etc.  Is Rathdrum, Wicklow too far or somewhere in that area?  I could go out and scout during the week, if anyone is interested, or is too far?

Happy New Year Patrick, I got out a few times last week, might be free during the week any location suits !
