Event Description

We Painted here in Kilmokea Gardens a couple of years ago, and found it very enjoyable. We have a couple of excuses to go back next Sunday. Laura Gibney and Denise Gerard are exhibiting works as part of a group show there, which runs for a month. Besides the chance to support our fellow painters, the Gardens themselves offer a great oppertunity, with formal arrangements close to the house and a wilder woodland further down.

Emma, form Kilmokea Country Manor and gardens, has kindly offered us admission free of charge.

If you would like refreshments throughout the day there is delicious food served in the conservatory. Prices start from €3.00 for fruit scones with home made jam and butter.

Spent most of the day cowering under a bush trying to paint a close up of some rocks! Almost tempted to drink turps when water ran out!
