Kells is the medieval Capital of Kilkenny. There seems be plenty of places of interest, a fortified 12th century Augustinian priory, mill museum, round tower and high cross. The village itself looks picturesque, and the surrounding Countryside will also have plenty to offer.

I recommend that you look through the above links about Kells, so that you don't miss anything on the day....

!0.30 am- meet in the village center ( near Shirleys pub)

11.00 am- Disperse to paint

1pm - meet for a packed lunch...or head to one of the pubs. There are two pubs in the village..Shirleys pub, advertises that it serves food in the summer..

2pm - Back to painting/ sketching or having a wonder

5-5.30 pm meet back at a specified location to have a "natter" about the day
