Hi Tony,
It was great to meet you yesterday, and I'm delighted you enjoyed the day, you were certainly painting "in the zone"!! Here's to many more days of the same!!
Karen
Absolutely, you are welcome whether you have paintings to post or not. We only have a couple of Kilkenny members so far, although several from neighbouring Carlow, Waterford and Wexford and hope you will be able to join us on a PaintOut soon. Getting geared-up for painting outside does take a bit of effort - making sure you aren't carrying too much nor that you haven't forgotten something vital.
Your new photo has the authentic outdoors look anyway so it should be no problem to you. Might be worth your while signing onto the South East Plein Air group (see Groups tab) for news of whatever is happening down that area?
All the best.
Welcome to Plein Eire site.
It exists to promote the practice of working en plein air, that is to say, on location, outside, in Ireland. It would appear your album of images does not fit into this category and therefore don't belong amongst this site's 'Plein Air Artwork' file.
This is nothing to do with their merit; there can be bad plein air paintings and of course, wonderful studio work - but not here.
For what you can post here, I refer you to the site's Terms and Conditions which you will have come across in signing on. The same guidelines are to be found on the Home Page (centre column) and under 'Notes' (Welcome page). Please read through them and if there are any questions, you are welcome to get in touch for clarification.
There is also a request for member photo rather than an avatar, with reasons given.
Sorry to blow for a free kick the minute you come on the pitch but Plein Eire covers an area of special interest, whereas, there are already plenty of other sites to promote a wide range of art on the internet.
If you have plein air paintings, you are welcome to post them or to join in most of the painting get-togethers (PaintOuts) you will find advertised under 'Events'.
