Here is a link to lots of post-festival stuff - photos, artists' blogs, videos and the winning paintings of Art in the Open 2013.

Just wanted to say thank you all for the hard work put into this year's festival - it was fantastic. So sorry to have to leave so quickly, back in work today but would love to still be in Wexford. Looking forward to next year!

If anyone does not want to participate, officially, you are still welcome to come along to paint or just to watch. There will be all kinds of kit and easel, tripod and paintbox in use - and some great artists using many of them.

See the website (www.artintheopen.org) for venues/dates throughout next week.

Ok library corrected on map now.

Parasol??? I have a vision of white frills! Can't imagine painting under one of those, I could have a figure holding one and posing though.....

Warm with clouds sounds perfect!

Hi Jen. You map is spot on except for the library which is a block away. Your bus location is right, too. All very handy? Forecast is pretty good. not as scorchio as recent weeks but still warm and a few clouds to paint, too. Can I hedge my bet and suggest a parasol ?

Re my map below, I've put a bus where my bus from Dublin is arriving, is this a similar place to where we are getting the bus to paint-out locations?

Really excited to be attending this event. I've made a little public Google map with the AITO places of interest in Wexford. Tell me if I've got anything wrong. Wexford AITO 2013 places

Now folks tell me....suncream or umbrellas?

Comment by Plein Eire Administrator on June 25, 2013 at 9:35

More than 150 artists have already registered on the AITO website and booked their places at Europe's largest annual plein air painting festival and 2013 will be its highest attendance in the 6 years since it began. Only 20+ places left, so don't miss out if you intend to join in the fun.
